This work was part of a display at the Philadelphia Flower Show where I demonstrated the technique of botanical watercolor painting. Tillandsia Juncea is found in Florida, Mexico and the West Indies. It is epiphytic and grows in dense woods. The upright rush-like leaves, olive green tinged with copper and silvery on the reverse side, form a graceful rosette. The short, erect influorescence is composed of a few densely massed spikes.
